Stainless steel series water meter calibrate tester
1. Summarize
The tester is the necessary measure instrument for the test and repair of water meter in metrological service, Water meter manufacture, Water supply company, industrial and mining establishments.
The tester is made of stainless steel materials; the surface is treated with polishing. Clamp equipment and drain machine is controlled by four-way reversing valve; the water flow rate is adjusted by copper case stainless steel core ball valve, it has high accuracy, the structure is compaction, long life, easy operate and maintain.

3 Structure and working principle
The water meter tester is composed by work desk, clamp equipment, front and back straight pipe, flowmeter, standard volume container, drain water valve.
After the water from the steady sources come into the enter place of tester, the water will come into the tested meter in straight pipe, and then come into the choosed standard volume container, compare the reading number between tested meter and standard volume container, and get the error of testing water meter.
4 Operate methods
4.1 Put the tested water meter in the middle of the straight pipe, closed all the flowmeter adjust valves, open the water enter valve, let meter and pipe endure pressure, sure all tie-in place should without leakage.
4.2 first open big flowmeter adjust valves, and let the flux in normal range of water meter.
Second open other flowmeter adjust valves slowly, get rid of the air in the pipe and water meter.
Third after water meter running a period of time, then let water meter finger aim at “Zero” place or one scale,close flowmeter adjust valves,record the subdivision scale of water meter,
Fourth get rid of the water in the standard container (10L-20L、50L-100L、100L-300L container discharge time is one minute), then close the discarge values of the containers,now the standard volume container is in “Zero” place.
Fifth operate flowmeter adjst values, let the values to a point flow place of the standard container.
Sixth when the water meter finger reach to the point place or container water place reach to point place, close flowmeter adjust values, the action time for open/close should not more than 1.5s
Seventh after the container water place is stop, reading and record water meter data and standard container data, compare it.
Eight using following expressions calculate the error:

4.3 in order to have uniform data, the water enter place should have a water pressure steady device, let water source stabilize, and then test water meter.
5. Installation
5.1 The tester should be installed in good light, and breezy place
5.2 Install standard container on the groundsill, adjust water level dunk. Workbench install in the front of the standard container, and let flowmeter’s water out pipe aim to the correct container,and then fixed the container support and workbench.
5.3 Well connect water enter pipe andthe purple copper pipe of the valve,the tie-in place should have not leakage.
5.4 the rotor flowmeter must be vertical installed, can’t deflection.
5.5 in order to easy use and maintain, the enough space should be keeped around the tester.
6. Maintain and notice
6.1 the “O” shape airproof rings is anti-oil rubber, long time use if have leakage, should be changed in time.
6.2 Water-place glass pipe and glass rotor flowmeter, after long time use, maybe have rust cling to the wall, influence reading, can be rinsed by oxalic acid, it will clear like new.
6.3 if valves have leakage, should be changed in time.
6.4 when using rotor flowmeter, the flow adjust valve should be opened slowly, prevent break up glass, especially for 4-90L flowmeter.
6.5 in winter, after using,it should have not water in flowmeter, to prevent frostbite.

Presure-resistant testing for water in series
The water presure must keep in 0.25MPa-0.4MPa, and with well steady water source.
The details operation as following:
1. Install water meter on the tester.
2. Open water enter valve (2), and valves (3),(4),(7), and then open cut-off pin valve (5), discharge the air in the pipe and water meter.
3. Pull two position four-way switch (6) to disentangle place (left direction), after 20 second, close valves (4),(7), and then close water enter valve (3).
4. Pull two position four-way switch (6) to add pressure place (right direction), after the presure up to the request value, then pull two position four-way switch (6) to middle place, see pressure meter (8), this time the pressure not add and not reduce, then close cut-off pin valve (5)
Note: when increasing pressure, small open cut-off pin valve (5), after the pressure reach to request value, pull switch (6) to middle place at once. Switch (6) can increase pressure, reduce pressure and cut-off pressure, in the end close cut-off pin valve (5).
5. finish pressure testing, close water enter valve (2), then open valves (4),(7), open water enter valve (3), reduce pressure to zero.
6. draw two-position four-way valve (1), take away water meter.
Notice:
1 After the tested meter is clamped, shouldn’t have water leakage, all pipes should not leakage.
2 if the pressure can’t reach to request value, means there’s air in water meter or jar, this time should pull switch (6) to increasing pressure place, then take turns open valves (5),(4),(7),(3),(2), get rid of airs, then close valve (7), change switch (6) to reduce pressure place, wait one minute, let increase pressure jar fill water, then take turns close (4),(3) valves, pull switch (6) to increasing pressure place, the pressure will reach to request value.
3 the cut-off pin valves should not big open in the time of increasing pressure, prevent damage pressure meter for the reason of suddenly increase pressure.

The tester with pressure testing for water meter in series

LS-B liquid place control instrument using manual
The instrument is special worked with 15-25mm or 15-50mm tester
1. Working Principle:
the instrument is composed by photoelectricity sensor and controller. When water place rise to the place of sensor, the water will touch off the sensor signal, in the sensor the Silicon Controlled Rectifier will turn-on, make relays winding electrify, normal close contact now is opened, make the water enter electromagnetism valves that connect with controller now lose power and close, the water flow is cut off, so finish one time testing.
2. Operation
2.1 Install the sensor to the request place on the glass pipe of standard container, and connect the controller to the electromagnetism valves on the flowmeter pipes.
2.2 Close containers water discharge valves (first must discharge the remain water, the water discharge time about 1 minute)
2.3 Open the instrument’s power, indicator is lighting, electromagnetism valves is get electricity and open, and the indicatior is lighting, if individual electromagnetism not open, should press start button
2.4 Because 100L, 50L (300L,100L) two check point with same water enter valve, so in the operation, can be only checked one by one, i.e. using 50L, close 100L, if using 100L, close 50L.
3. Notice
3.1 After open power supply switch, the power indicator is lighting, if water enter valve is open, the indicator will lighting, if individual not open, as per the checking requirement, press start button is ok, if now not check it, also can not be pressed.
3.2 10L, 20L two test point, although each one have a electromagnetism, but should be tested one by one, i.e. testing 50L, close 100L, otherwise the water in container will overflow, let the test not correct.
3.3 the sensor will avoid water, prevent corrupt, shorten life.
3.4 Instrument case must earth credibility.
4. Fault judge
4.1 Instrument inner and outer fault judge
4.1.1 After power cut, open lock nip, unfix 14 core rectangle plug, make sensor and electromagnetism is separated with instrument.
4.1.2 Plug into 220V power source, open instrument power switch, DC voltage meter should be around 18V (sensors’ power supply), power indicator light and other four indicator light is lighting; close four button switch one by one, the indicator light is dead; then open four button one by one, the indicator is lighting, time after time testing without fault, it is to say the instrument is normally; if four indicator light have one or two not lighting, after open button, still not lighting, or the lighting indicator, after close button, still not dead, it is to say the instrument have inner fault.
4.2 electromagnetism valves and sensors fault judge:
4.2.1 close power source switch, plug into 14 core rectangle plug (i.e. connect sensors and electromagnetism valves), open power switch, should have 18V DC voltage indicate.
4.2.2 Open one electromagnetism, should add about 1A current, three electromagnetism all open, total about 3A current, thereinto about 0.25A is other consume, close one electromagnetism should reduce about 1A current, if deviate value is big, it is electromagnetism’s fault; if electromagnetism is normally, general should be sensors fault.
4.3 Sensor’s fault judge:
4.3.1 Open power supply switch, the sensor maybe touch off because of water place or sensitivity, so individual indicator light not lighting is normally, but must pass open / close testing, if can’t open or close (i.e. the indicator not lighting or dead), or closed automatically after open, general means this way sensor is fault.
4.3.2 let water place is raised slowly, after the water is raised to the sensors place, visit the indicator light in the top of sensor, should have a instant flash, if without, it is to say the sensor is fault or low sensitivity, need to change the sensors.
4.3.3 if power on the four sensor indicator light should light, if not, means the circuitry is bad or sensor is bad.
4.3.4 if sensors have short circuit, the 18V voltage will great reduce or without indicator, should close power switch at once, otherwise it will lead to the damage of instrument.
