3. Notice before using

The voltage endurance testing instrument, before using it, must read the following items carefully:

3.1 Must use three hole power socket, and earthing connect must be well enough

3.2 The high vlotage transformer and small go-cart must be well connected with earthing.

3.3 manipulator must wear with insulated glove, and the feet sole must be with insulating mat.

3.4 After each using (when in DC tesing), the high end of high voltage capacitor (red clip) must be earthing

3.5 The instrument must be reseting state before setting all kinds of the functions

3.6 The “voltage adjustment” button must in zero place before open the instrument.

3.7 Don’t touch the tested object and testing wires when in the testing.

3.8 Don’t short the wire between high voltage output place and instrument case or earthing wire, to avoid damage of the instrument.

3.9 In case the hurting things is happened, please cut off the power source at once.

3.10 If the indication light or the warning device come to fault, please maintain it at once.

3.11 When in testing, shall look into voltage meter ‘s indication value , it must be accord with preset value , if it over the error range of the preset value, still lifting voltage or cut off power source , should reset machine at once, cheking or maintaince the machine, after each kinds of index is confirmed to ok, then use it again.

1 Power source switch: the high voltage testing device’s total power supply.

2 “Starting” switch: push this switch, the device get into the testing status, and the testing LED get lighting.

3 “resetting” switch: push down this switch, the device get into the status of waiting for testing, in this time, no high voltage output.

4 “Testing indicator light”: when lighting the tester is in the testing status

5 “Over creepage indicator light”: when lighting, means the tested things creepage current is over the limit and not ok

6 “voltage preset light”: when lighting, the tester is in the voltage preset status.

7. “Current preset light”: when lighting, the tester is in the current preset status.

8. “voltage preset”: After depress “voltage preset” switch, adjust “voltage preset” potentiometer, can set the tested voltage value and displayed in voltage meter.

9. “current preset” : After depress “current preset” switch, adjust “current preset” potentiometer, can set the tested creepage current value and displayed in the current meter.

10. “voltage meter” : indicate output voltage value.

11. “current meter” : indicate creepage current value.

12. “timing indication” : indicate test time (when voltage is lifted to the set value, begin to time)

13. “timing dial switch”: adjust this switch, can set time

14. “timing/hand switch”: depress the switch is “by hand” test, otherwise is “timing” test

15. “Pre-setting/Testing Switch”: depress such switch is into creepage current“pre-setting” status, otherwise is in the “testing” status.

5. Operation method

5.1 First checking if with good connecting between main machine and high voltage generator, the transforer and small go-cart if with good earthing. If the connecting is correct and credibility between High voltage output end and testing low end

5.2 Setting creepage current value: depress preset switch “15”, adjust potentiometer “9”, preset the creepage current to the value that we wanted

5.3 Setting voltage value: depress preset switch “19”, adjust potentiometer “8”, preset the voltage to the value that we wanted.

5.4 “timing test”: push the time setting switch “14” to the place of time setting, adjust time dial “13”, and set the timing that we wanted

5.5 “hand test”: push the time setting switch “14” to the place of “by hand”, then ok.

5.6 Connect the tested object: based on the needing of the tested object, to well connected the testing wire and tested object.

5.7 depress “starting” switch , then in the testing, if found the “creepage current” value is over the preset value, the tester will auto warning and cut off output voltage. In this time, only depress “reset” switch is ok, the device will try back to waiting for testing status.

5.8 If the “creepage current” isn’t over the setting value, it will begin to time when the voltage lift to the set value, after the time is finished, the device will get into the status of waiting for testing.

5.9 if is use a DC test, after every time test be over, and confirming to discharge electricity completely then can get in touch with high pressure to carry

5.10 while using DC test, take out the short circuit pole (see attached drawing), shorting the connect wire and high voltage output end in high voltage capacitor (the connect method please see following drawing), while using AC test, the short circuit pole must put in the original place and come away high voltage capacitor and high voltage output end.

5.11 Notice: the test location safe space must assure in radius more than 1.5m interspace in the center of high voltage generator!!!
